After hearing about that employee that quit Whole Foods and wrote a 2,300 word resignation letter I couldn't help but be prompted to post this on my blog, this guy is genius and for sure 6 things can cost 80 bucks at ANY health food store.

I stumbled across this video from Dr. Mercola and found it valuable for those who suffer from acne. I have read many articles and researched the causes of acne over the years and this, by far is the best information you can get all in one place without having to read hundreds of articles, etc.

Juicing recipes for carb types
My mother inlaw gave me a juicer like 4 years ago and I never used it until recently, actually it's because I forgot I even had it and with my organizational skills in the kitchen I was lucky to find it again! I've been hooked on Dr. Mercola lately and recently took his free nutritional type test. It's pretty cool and it was there I found I was a carb type. There are others too, protein type and mixed type (both protein and carb). I love my veggies and don't really eat meat that much and totally stay away from red meat in general. Anyhow, juicing is important for we carb types, unfortunately I'm sad that spinach is not on my list of veggies I should be eating :( however I really dig kale and it has taken spinach's place.
Here's the deal, prior to eating any of your meals you should drink at least 6 oz of veggie juice. So I looked on my chart at all the veggies I could eat as well as some fruit and had a blast in the kitchen making some yummy juice recipes of my own. Here are some that I juiced up for you!
Use all organic veggies if you can.
1 handful of cilantro
3 handfuls of kale
4 baby carrots
1/2 of a lemon keeping some of the white part on it.
1 kiwi
1/2 cucumber
throw all the above in your juicer and drink down a 6 oz cup of deliciousness
1 handful of cilantro
3 sliced pieces of fennel
1/2 cucumber with skin
1/2 of lime
3 handfuls of kale
2 baby carrots
8 cubes of cantaloupe
1 handful of cilantro
1/2 cucumber with skin
3 handfuls of kale
5 baby carrots
1/4 of an apple with skin
1/2 lemon leaving some of the white from the rind
Remember whenever using cabbage, bok choy, romaine or kale use lemon or lime to counter act the bitter taste it works wonders!!
Well I'll be adding more soon I'm sure as I experiment more. There's an abundance of things to toss in there like ginger, mint leaves, pineapple, grapes etc. Just remember to keep your fruit additions to a minimum as they contain high levels of fructose (natural of course, but still sugar). I only add a few to make it more palatable.
For more information on learning how to become more healthy and energetic watch this (if you have any problems finding where to take the test watch this) and take Dr. Mercola's free test and then you can download for free his recipe book for each nutritional type as well as a 27 page info pack with more info about nutritional types and your specific nutritional type chart. Since I have been eating for my right nutritional type I have had no bloating, gas and feel great. The more nutritionally dense foods you eat you will find the less you even eat. I stay full forever on this and feel light and energized! This is all free, you just subscribe to his newsletter, which you will want to anyways because they are amazing and jam packed with all kinds of interesting info, he also updates you on daily nutritional/health news.

Please Help out A Soldier About to Lose His Home
Won't you take a moment and go here to sign a petition to help a soldier from Oregon from losing his home. He will be coming home for a short leave in a few weeks. so let's help him have a home to come to. Also while visiting change.org sign the petition for Caylee's Law, making it a federal crime if you do not report your child missing within a certain time frame. God Bless all of you for helping these two causes! It just takes your signature and two minutes of your time!
Why McDonald's Chicken Nuggets are Dangerous!
I've been a health nut for the last 7 years but even before that I always knew there was something up with Mickey D's nuggets, first off, they don't even look like real chicken or at best "parts" of chicken. I just received an article via email from Dr. Mercola's website (which is verrry informative, I highly suggest you subscribe, it's free) and it made all my nightmares about the chicken nugget come true!
Read the article here After reading it please please don't eat this crap nor feed it to your children!!!! Actually you should not of been feeding it to them to begin with, however I hope this article opens your eyes a bit. Oh, and by the way, keep reading further down the page and find out about what's in their buns too!

Super Antioxidant Soup
Smoothies are great for a nice antioxidant breakfast but what about for lunch or dinner? How about a super antioxidant soup? This soup can be eaten as a main course or appetizer, it's filling, delicious, loaded with antioxidants, fiber and cleanses the blood. What? Delicious AND good for you? Whoa dude I sound like an audience on one of those annoying infomercials eh?
Let me break down why the ingredients are soopa doopa awesome:
Green Tea: Need I say more? We all know how extremely good this tea is for you when it comes to antioxidants. You may substitute the green tea for white tea if you wish, which is even better for you just make sure it's decaf.
Kale: Is considered to be the most nutritious vegetable in the world with extremely powerful antioxidant properties. Kale is very high in beta carotene, vitamin K, vitamin C, lutein, zeaxanthin and rich in clacium., it's also an anti-inflammatory. Inflammation in the body is the main cause for all diseases, remember that!
Ginger: Ginger not only aids in digestion, but it is a useful natural blood cleanser as well. It can improve your circulation and it causes your body to sweat (delicious), eliminating toxins in the process.
Cannellini Beans: Beans are always good for protein and fiber and are also very filling. Fiber is very important in expelling excess estrogens in the body, great for women with fibroids, breast cancer or endometriosis. Specifically cannellini beans help reduce cholestrol, help with headaches are low in fat AND give you energy!
So now that you know what's up with my ingredients, this is what Mama Mia (that's what I call myself in the kitchen, hey, leave me alone little things amuse me) has thrown together to make you healthy!
2 Bunches of Kale (washed) organic if you can
16 oz of Brewed green tea (naturally decaffeinated, follow instructions on the box how to make)
1/2" piece of ginger root sliced in super thin pieces (use a mandolin for best results)
32 oz. of Organic chicken stock (Swanson's brand comes in a 32oz. box container)
1 can of Cannellini beans drained and rinsed.
Garlic powder, Sea salt and pepper to taste.
After you rinse the kale remove the leaves from the "center vein" and chop them into small pieces.
Place the leaves into a large pot.
Pour the green tea in and then the chicken stock.
Toss in the beans
Add the ginger and the seasonings, bring to a boil and then turn down burner between low and medium (closer to low) for 20 minutes.
Serve and enjoy! Yum!! This soup will have a slightly spicy taste to it do to the ginger and is great if you have a cold or are feeling under the weather.
Best of all this is soooo super cheap to make. Just 98 cents per bunch of kale!! I know, I know genius right?

Could Your Acne Be Just a Hormone Imbalance?
If you find yourself breaking out just before and during your menstrual cycle then it's definitely hormonal related. Most women are estrogen dominant and if you're one of the ones that suffer from endometriosis then you definitely have an over flow of estrogen flowing through your body. This can cause adverse effects on the body from uterine to breast cancer, acne, bad PMS, fibroids, dry eyes, foggy thinking and much more. Using an all natural progesterone cream can help enormously. It's not just for menopausal women like most think. Progesterone levels get lower and lower with age mostly starting after 35, however some can even have low progesterone in their 20's.
Using a progesterone cream can be applied on the chest, under arms, stomach or inner thighs and also vaginally. Some researches have said that it's better to apply it vaginally. Once your hormones are balanced you'll feel better and look better and your acne flare ups will be nonexistent. You can also use the cream straight on the face where your problem break out area is. There are many on the market, however you'll want to get one that does not contain dioxane (cancer causing) or parabens. Synergeine progesterone cream seems to be a popular brand at my health food store but I'm sure there are others that are comparable. Some also include herbs in their creams.
What an exciting find to finally rid yourself of those annoying hormonal breakouts. Of course incorporating a healthy diet free of xenoestrogens and phytoestrogens will help immensely with your acne problems and PMS. Xenoestrogens are found in certain fuels, plastics, pesticides and drugs such as: All artificial scents, perfume, air fresheners, styrofoam cups/containers, commercially raised meats, canned foods and yikes even cosmetics!!! Phytoestrogens are naturally occurring estrogenic compounds found in foods, herbs and spices. Some phytoestrogens would be soy, soybeans, soy milk, tofu, miso etc. Kind of makes you wonder why the industry/docs push soy products and supplements on women with female issues it's the worst! Stay away from anything soy if you have female issues or even if you don't, because it can cause problems, especially anything cancerous you may have going on. I highly recommend you research out other foods that mess with your estrogen, like lima beans, black eyed peas, wheat, apples, eggs, milk, basically dairy in general. Ever wonder why when you consume milk or cheese you get wicked breakouts especially around that time of month? Because you've got additional hormones the farmers jack up the cows with floating around in your body along with your own heightened hormone levels which equals to pizza face! Eat brussel sprouts, broccoli, cabbage, asparagus, mustard greens, pinto beans etc. fiber helps to get that extra estrogen out of your system. Also strengthening your liver will help because it filters out all the toxins in your body as well as the used hormones. Think about a liver detox and taking Milk Thistle.
The dosage of progesterone cream should be followed by the directions and taking chaste tree (vitex) along with it wouldn't be a bad idea too. Here's to clear skin and of course less bitchy bouts of PMS!

Dani-isms For Today
1. Walmart really has become the one stop shop, you can get a haircut, manicure, rent a car, buy a house, take out a loan, plan a vacation, try on the latest fashion, go grocery shopping, buy furniture, electronics and get a papsmear (seriously my Walmart has a clinic) all under the same roof! The only thing that's missing is renting a room for the night........hmmm maybe I'm onto something here.
2. Is it really necessary for celebrities that go on these late night talk shows to inevitably take a sip of whatever's in that huge ass coffee mug sitting on the table next to them? Is it coffee? Is it water? Perhaps vodka? Well maybe if you're a guest on Chelsea Lately but really is it a prerequisite to be a guest on the show, I mean do they sign a contract saying thou must partake in the sipping of the giant coffee mug???
3. Why do my children only seem to act out in public, do they want to see mommy go to jail?
4. Why is it that nobody wants to talk to me in my house until I get on the phone and then everybody wants a piece of the mommy? Where's my superman shirt? Babe, where's my lighter? Momma have you seen my race car?
5. Why am I the only one that has ever gotten pissed on, pooped on, puked on and drooled on by my children? Am I just a magnet for disgusting liquids such as these? Where is your father?
6. How come my mother inlaw always returns my one year old with poop in his pants and a pound of pee?
7. Why am I the only one in the house that seems to know how to change the toilet paper roll?
8. Why is it that I've lived in the same house for the last three years and still always miss my turn into my subdivision?
9. Whoever invented the Ped Egg needs to be shot...........twice.
10. Why is it that no matter what, I always end up picking the shopping cart with the messed up wheels ?
